Oh dear oh dear.
Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
It has come to my attention…
That we haven’t written a blog post on here for almost a whole month! (Note: was originally ‘moth’ but not now. Good spellchecker.)
I have a good excuse though, and it is this:
We are keen fans of University Challenge, and to prepare for its return in either late July or early August, I personally have been mugging up on the Periodic Table, in hopes that this will help me to answer more questions.
I am already up to boron 🙂
Shana will be adopting her usual quiz method known as ‘winging it’. This may or may not involve shouting at the telly and critiquing quiz teams’ outfits and hairstyles.
And one thing we will both agree on (it happens every year) will be our amazement at 20-year-old students’ inability to answer any music round questions that include excerpts by pop singers of the 70s and 80s. If we could bottle that feeling of superiority, it wouild sustain us all year long.
The algebra stuff though, I think we’ll pass on.
Now, where was I? Oh yes, hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, boron, quantanium…
